With over 4,500 works and three collections that include a unique body of Art Brut, the LaM is the only museum in Europe to present simultaneously the principal components of the art of the 20th and 21st century. Exhibited in three dedicated sections, the collections of modern art, contemporary art and Art Brut are presented in circuits that offer a discovery of outstanding masterpieces of art history and a subtle progression between the themes.
At the same time, a large temporary exhibition and “Théma” exhibitions offer new viewpoints on the history of art by investigating new areas of research and the links that exist between the three collections.
