Become a patron

Opened in 1983, LaM has become a must-see museum in Northern Europe. Rooted in its time and its region, it continues its mission of cultural and social innovation thanks to the invaluable support of its patrons and partners.

After a year and a half of renovation work, the LaM reopened its doors in February 2026. Far from being a mere interlude, this period of closure has been a time of excitement and transformation. This new chapter, led by Sébastien Faucon, the new director of the LaM, is all about hospitality and innovation.

Join a dynamic collective effort between the worlds of business and culture to make the LaM an increasingly inclusive place that serves everyone.

Which projects should be supported?

Major exhibitions
Twice a year, the LaM presents a major exhibition of national and international significance, focusing on a particular artist or theme:

  • Monographs on major figures in modern and contemporary art (Modigliani, Kentridge, Noguchi, etc.).
  • Spotlight on the history of art brut and its artists (spiritualist painters, Aloïse Corbaz, etc.).
  • New perspectives on social issues (Les Muses Insoumises, Mohamed Bourouissa, etc.).

Calendar
The next major exhibitions will be devoted to Vassily Kandinsky, co-organised with the Centre Pompidou, Paris (February 2026), women linked to art brut (autumn 2026) and the mythical figure of Antonin Artaud (spring 2027).

Young creation programme

In 2026, the LaM will launch a brand new, innovative programme designed to strengthen its commitment to young artists.

A veritable laboratory for experimentation, this programme fulfils one of the museum's core missions, as envisaged by the Masurel family when they made the donation that founded the LaM: to provide ongoing support for the most contemporary art.

Malagasy artist Jessy Razafimandimby will be the first artist to participate in the programme in spring 2026, followed by artist Josèfa Ntjam in autumn 2026.

The actions funded by this programme affect 20,000 people per year in the fields of disability, health, rehabilitation and social welfare.

Whether you are a small or large business, for as little as €2,000 per year, become a member of the Trait d'Union community and take action as part of a collective effort to make art and culture accessible to all.
